Looking back over the past year it is undeniable that there was a some spectacular audio drama that was created. 2016 saw new series created and veteran producers continuing to make strides in the world of family friendly audio drama.
We wanted to recognize some of the productions that we thought were exceptionally well done and give credit to the talented folks who were responsible for making them possible. Sort of like the Emmys or Oscars or Grammys for family friendly audio drama. (We're still working on a name so if you have any ideas let us know.) The following are Audio Theatre Central's picks for the top audio drama from the calendar year of 2016.
Beric is an outstanding audio drama in every aspect; superb acting, an engaging story with well-rounded characters, and top-notch production values.

Timms performance in this production was simply outstanding! Some of the best acting I have ever heard.
Katie's portrayal of this character was extremely well done. She embodied the various aspects of the character's personality flawlessly.

Jared's music for this production is phenomenal. It is stirring, beautiful, and it is seamlessly woven into the story the way a great score should be.

Iliad House
Phil Lollar and his team have a created a home run with this new series and we can't wait to hear what they have in store for future episodes. Likable characters, engaging story-line, great production quality, not to mention some of the best artwork, are the highlights of this series.
