New Album from Composer Jared DePasquale, Awake the Dawn: The Story of Advent

Composer Jared DePasquale is well-known in the audio drama community for his original scores for productions such as The Hiding Place, Little Women, The Legends of Robin Hood, and AIO's "Unsinkable", just to name a few. Soundtracks of several of DePasquale's scores have been released in recent years to all major digital outlets. But this week marks the release of a new kind of project for the composer.

Awake the Dawn: The Story of Advent is a brand new album of music for the Advent season. The record is a combination of original compositions and new arrangements of classic pieces. The project is a not an audio drama score and is not associated with any production but is a concept album that uses music to tell a story. DePasquale says that this is not a Christmas record; it is a record that will tell, "the whole story - and would address the situation (the brokenness of our world) we all find ourselves in. We're living in this time between the first and second advent. Christ has come, Christ will come again."

DePasquale teamed up with vocalists Sarah Van der Ploeg (The Trials of St. Patrick) and Jon Klinepeter on this record which took two years to write and record. It is broken into sections that tell the story from The Fall to our hope of Christ's second coming.
