It's been nearly 10 years since listeners of The Pond (also known as Life at the Pond) have heard any newly produced episodes on the radio.
Through a partnership with Christian Parenting, the series recently became available as a podcast in 2022. Although some old episodes (Miracle for One Please, Respect Your Elders, The Hitter, & Army Recruits) that were never aired on the radio were released on the podcast feed, there have not been any new episodes produced for this long-running series for some time. Charlie Richards, creator and writer for The Pond, wants to change that.
He recently launched a GoFundMe page. With the funds raised, this will allow him to produce 20 new episodes of the show. If you enjoy the show and want to hear more from Bill, Tony, Floyd, and Methuselah, you can be involved in making that happen. You can use this link to donate to the cause. If there are other people you know that love the show, make sure to let them know about the fundraiser, too.
You can listen to an interview with Charlie Richards about this new endeavor and other behind the scenes info on episode 178 of Audio Theatre Central.
