Just in time for Easter weekend, the Audio Drama Alliance has just released a brand new half-hour show that tells the story of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection from the perspective of an average citizen of the day. Written by Darby Kern (Lamplighter Theatre, Left Behind, Jake Muller) and directed by Craig Hart (The Titanic Waif, Sherlock Holmes: A Royal Scandal), The Most Important Passover is an audio drama that will help listeners understand the significance of the Passover celebration to the Jewish people and why it was divinely ordained for Christ's Passion to take place during that feast.
Official Summary:
Step back in time and experience the Jewish feast of Passover alongside a first-century, Galilean family. As Moshe, Hadah, and their children prepare for another Passover in Jerusalem, they remember the lamb's blood that protected their people generations ago. But even as they go about their yearly routine, encounters with a rogue teacher set Moshe on a path that will change his life forever. Is Yeshua really who his followers believe him to be? And what will it cost Moshe to believe in Him too? Join us at the table for The Most Important Passover.
The cast includes Peter Fazzari (A Friend from Woodgrove) as the lead character, Moshe, with Betsy Nicholson (Lamplighter Theatre) as Moshe's wife, Hadah. Dominic Treis (St. Benedict Radio Theatre, Lamplighter Theatre) voices the disciple Andrew, Mark Henry Cooney (Witnesses) plays Yeshua, and Frank Ulle (Nick Guy, Private Eye) plays the high priest, Caiaphas. Sound design was by Benjamin Burnett and music composed by Marc Mulcahy.
